Indonesia's worst fire season in a decade has pushed smoke across Southeast Asia. In Karhutla you play the people who actually hold the line: a firefighter, a Manggala Agni ranger, a student volunteer, a mother from the village fire brigade. Move to dodge; the hose, the bucket and the rattan beater work on their own. Fire spreads with the wind, peat smoulders underground and flares up again, and orangutans and villagers wait at the edge of the flames for you. Hold out until the monsoon comes.
